Notable galleries in NYC where Horst exhibited include :

1.     MoMa , showcasing his contributions to fashion photography and his artistic influence .

2.     The International Center of Photography (ICP) dedicated to photography and visual culture

3.     Staley-Wise Gallery : known for its focus on fashion and fine art photography,

I painted a semi monochromatic abstract canvas for a featured exhibition recalling Horst’s 1930’s Madelaine Vionette retrospect

Please note I’ve jumped here to the 1980’s …..

Platinum

The 1980s witnessed a flurry of new books, exhibitions and television documentaries about Horst. He produced new prints for museums and the collector's market, selecting works from every decade of his career to be reprinted in platinum-palladium, sometimes with new titles. This was a complex and expensive technique, employing metals more expensive than gold. Failing eyesight finally forced him to stop working in 1992.
